Know Jesus

ABC's of Salvation

The Bible tells us that "God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in Him will not perish, but have everlasting life." John 3:16

To begin your journey with Jesus as Savior and Lord of your life is as easy as ABC.

Admit - that you have sinned against God.

The Bible says that "all have sinned and have come short of the glory of God."

You're a sinner. Everyone has done things that displease a Holy God. No one can live up to His

standards.

He says no sin can enter heaven. Something must be done to get rid of your sin.

Romans 3:23- "All have sinned and fall short of the glory of God."

Revelation 21:27- "There shall by no means enter it (heaven) anything that defiles or causes an abomination or a lie, but only those who are written in the Lamb's Book of Life."

Believe- that Jesus died for you on the cross for your sin, and that God raised Him up again from the dead.

Jesus died on the cross for you. God loves you and wants you to become His child.

He loves you so much that He sent His Son, Jesus, to shed His blood to save you from your sins.

He took your place on the cross and suffered the punishment you deserve.

Believe that He died for you, was buried, and rose again on the third day.

1 Peter 2:24- "Who Himself (Jesus) bore our sins in His own body on the tree (cross), that we, having died to sins, might live for righteousness."

Colossians 1:14- "In whom (Jesus) we have redemption (salvation) through His blood, the forgiveness of sins."

Acts 16:31- "Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and you will be saved."

Confess- with your mouth and the way you live your life that Jesus Christ is Lord- your Lord.

The Bible says, "If we confess our sins He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness."

Confess your sinfulness to God, and turn from it. Call upon Jesus to save you.

This may be a simple but sincere cry from your heart, or it may be expressed out loud.

Trust in Him as your Savior from sin.

Luke 18:13- "God be merciful to me a sinner."

Romans 10:9- "If you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God

has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved."

Romans 10:13- "Whosoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved."

1 John 1:9- "If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness."

Psalms 130- Cry to the Lord for mercy. Forgiveness. Unfailing love. Full redemption from all our sins.

If you believe in Jesus and have placed your faith and trust in Him, God has forgiven you. Then you, along with all the others who believe in Jesus, will spend eternity in heaven with Him.

It's that simple, and Oh, what a change He makes in your life.     Let Jesus be the greatest gift you've ever received.

Accept Him today!

Salvation Scriptures

Ecclesiastes 7:2-4

2 It is better to go to a house of mourning than to go to a house of feasting, because that is the end of every man, And the         living takes it to heart.

3 Sorrow is better than laughter, for when a face is sad a heart may be happy.

4 The mind of the wise is in the house of mourning, while the mind of fools is in the house of pleasure.

Hebrews 9:27

Just as people are destined to die once, and after that to face judgment,

Daniel 12:2

2 Many of those who sleep in the dust of the ground will awake, these to everlasting life, but the others to disgrace and everlasting contempt.

John 3:16-17

16 For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have         eternal life.

17 For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him.

Romans 3:23

For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,

Romans 5:8

But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.

Romans 6:23

For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Romans 10:9-10

9 If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be         saved.

10 For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are           saved.

1 Peter 3:18

For Christ also suffered once for sins, the righteous for the unrighteous, to bring you to God. He was put to death in the body but made alive in the Spirit.

Ephesians 2:8-9

8 For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God—

9 not by works, so that no one can boast.

The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.

John 1:12

Yet to all who did receive him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God—

John 5:24

“Very truly I tell you, whoever hears my word and believes him who sent me has eternal life and will not be judged but has crossed over from death to life.

1 Peter 2:24

“He himself bore our sins” in his body on the cross, so that we might die to sins and live for righteousness; “by his wounds you have been healed.”

Colossians 1:14

In whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins.

Acts 16:31

They replied, “Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved—you and your household.”

Luke 18:13

“But the tax collector stood at a distance. He would not even look up to heaven, but beat his breast and said, ‘God, have mercy on me, a sinner.’

1 John 1:9

If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.

Psalm 130:1-4

1 Out of the depths I cry to you, Lord;

2 Lord, hear my voice. Let your ears be attentive to my cry for mercy.

3 If you, Lord, kept a record of sins, Lord, who could stand?

4 But with you there is forgiveness, so that we can, with reverence, serve you.
